Qwitter

Sunday night at exactly 8 o’clock I quit Twitter.

For those not in the know: Twitter is a social networking site were you describe what you are doing at any point in time with no more than 140 characters. It’s a great device that can be used to connect to people all around the world, and is a pretty awesome place to be in Web 2.0. All fans of social media and their mother has adopted this shiny piece of new technology…from new Hollywood to old business. Everyone who’s anyone is on Twitter.

…and that is the problem. I don’t want to be anyone – I want to be me.

(Plus, how can I be world famous is I spend all my time on any website, but my own?)

I’ve got the contacts for almost all my Twitter friends and will be in touch soon. Until then you can always find me at

(PS: Incidentally, could someone please “tweet” this so people who don’t read this blog don’t think I’m just giving them the cold shoulder)

  2. Aw, we’ll miss you!

  3. I’ll miss your tweets. But (sniff) I’ll still get to see you- virtually- on saturday nights, right?

  4. Well, I discovered you through Twitter, so I’m very glad that you used it for a little while, but I totally support you using whatever applications that you want to. I don’t really use facebook or ning or chat/IM applications.

RSS makes your departure a little easier, though.

  5. You have much wisdom, young caveman. I’ve tried to quit Twitter and haven’t been able to. Yet. It’s such a time suck.
